Tim Miller
Managing Director and Electrical Manager
Tim Miller, as the Managing Director of Kalgoorlie Power Group, brings a wealth of expertise spanning various aspects of power systems. His career journey began in 2012 with Kalgoorlie Power Systems (KPS) and has been marked by significant contributions to the design, construction, commissioning, and technical operation of remote power systems.
Some key project achievements include the construction of the Tropicana diesel power station, including the 2016 gas conversion, the design and lead commissioning roll of multiple projects including the 15MW Thunderbox power station expansion, Mt Ida dual fuel and gas system, the Binduli diesel and waste heat recovery system and commissioning of three WestGold gas power stations.
Cameron Abbott
Director and Mechanical Manager
Cameron Abbott, as Director and the Mechanical Manager of Kalgoorlie Power Group, brings comprehensive expertise and a diverse background in Power Generation. Cameron has a proven and successful track record of providing clients with maintenance, overhaul, procurement, and troubleshooting support in the power generation industry. Cameron’s strong mechanical background and broad understanding of industry processes has positioned him well to offer innovative and reliable solutions, tailored to clients’ specific needs.
During Cameron’s time in the power generation industry, he has been an integral part of numerous recognised and trusted teams with primary focus for TransAlta and Kalgoorlie Power Systems.
A qualified Mechanical and Electrical Technician, and former Director at Mechanical Power Solutions (founded in 2019) before amalgamating with TME to form Kalgoorlie Power Group (KPG) in 2024, Cameron builds on over 9 years’ experience in power generation in a new position as Working Director and Mechanical Manager at KPG.
